emily said one of her contacts had a tear in it, so i told her i would get her a sample at my office and check her eyes for her. so we go up and as i do the exam here are some of her comments...
'are you going to be mean and make me read the really small letters.'
'my eyes are hurting' (asking her the smallest line she can read)
'i hate this part! i don't feel useful and i can never tell the difference between the two choices!' (during the refraction)
'do you feel really rude right now?' (shining the bright light on her retina)
'yeah, that's what the other doctors do too...roll around in their little chairs, moving stuff around..."
she was totally cracking me up...but she wasn't kidding. she really had a horrible time! and i didn't even check her pressure or dilate her! she said would rather go to the dentist and ob/gyn rather than get her eyes checked!

I prefer eye exams to the dentist or gyn. I never minded the ob when I was pregnant. :)

i think i'm going to have to give em a valium next time.
that reminds me...you were funny during your eye exam too lauri! didn't you hit me with the occluder at one point?! haha...
