i'll have to do this more often...

i had the best night last night...and it was towards the end of the evening that i realized i just had kinda had date - with myself! :)

i first went to half price books and recycled all my old books and cds i didn't need anymore and got $13! woa! it felt good to clean out my closets! (thanks to lindsey and nathan for the idea!)

then i went to the gapbody (i love that place!) and got some new pjs, sleep shirts, work out tanks, and a new cute robe. maybe i'll have to count that as an early birthday present?!

and then i went to this cute little italian restaurant that i used to go to all the time when i was in optometry school and hadn't been back since in like 7 years!! i had a yummy tomato capresse salad with some bread and olive oil and then treated myself to mint chocolate gelato. oh and i bought some thickened balsamic vinegar so i can try to make my favorite salad at home.

and then i walked around rice village just enjoying the night, and found a cute park bench and sat to finish my gelato...and i realized how much fun i had spending the evening with myself...and with god too!

i thanked him for quiet nights when i am more aware of his presence
and the great life he has given me
and for always being there
and how i am never really alone.
